Product Description
Eliminates barking and annoying behavior by emitting a piercing ultrasonic tone that pets hate, but humans can barely hear. Stop dogs from jumping, barking and biting.

3 out of 5 stars Doggie roulette   September 2, 2010
Butch (Oak Ridge, TN)
This product works as specified and is reasonably priced.
It might be good for training a specific dog, but it certainly does NOT repel ALL dogs.
e.g. it repelled a rat terrier, but not a mixed breed or Belgian Sheepdog ( who just cocked her head!)

1 out of 5 stars Didn't work on dog, scared the cats :(   September 1, 2010
CAM (Florida)
The dog next door is a large Boxer mix that barks at everything. I tried this on her, and it did not phase her in the least. She just kept barking, even though I pointed it right at her from only a couple feet away. The neighbors poor cat, though, who was standing next to me, cowered and trembled in fear when I tried it on the dog, and looked at me as if to say "why are you making that horrible noise!?!" So, this is of absolutely no use to me. I like the cat, and don't want him to be afraid. I have nothing against the dog, either, aside from the out-of-control barking...The dog just needs training, but this is NOT the tool to do it, obviously :(

5 out of 5 stars Great item   August 30, 2010

I bought this item because I have a dog that jumps on people when they come over. It works very well to keep her from jumping. I only had to use it a couple times and now I just have to show it to her (without actually pressing the button) and she stays off of people.

3 out of 5 stars It works and it doesn't work.   August 30, 2010

I've received my Repeller last Thursday. First off, for those who had problems with the battery compartment shutting. If you place the battery upside down, it closes normally.
Tested Repeller to make sure it worked, and both dogs responded.
Here comes the real test. I had both my dogs enjoying an afternoon on the front porch when as usual a neighbor walking his two mini hot dogs walked on by. My older dog barked away like she normally does. I grabbed the Repeller and pressed as instructed and after depressing, I said "quiet". Voila....it worked! Not only on both my dogs, but the little mini hot dog that ran up my driveway. That dog was more than 10 feet away.
By the third time I had to use it.......I said "quiet". Sweet....it worked again!
That being said, the part that doesn't work. Apparently my younger dog isn't affected as much. I don't think it bothers him at all like it did on the first three times I had used it.
Luckily he's a follower so he follows being quiet when my older dog quiets down.
Anyway, I've also used it on her pulling on her leash. I don't always have to press the Repeller, because once she see's it...she stops pulling.
Also, just this morning. Her ball had rolled off the porch. Our porch has a gate to prevent dogs that are off their leash or even strays from coming up onto our porch, because I keep my front door wide open.
Well, my husband let her out the gate and told her "go get your ball". She did, she's watching the remote in my hand and she comes right back onto the porch, gate closed..."good girl"!
So, to sum up my review....it works on one dog, but not the other. Still, it's a good $10.00 investment I think. Atleast it's working on the dog that really needs the correction anyway.

1 out of 5 stars It does NOT work. At all.   August 28, 2010

I got this to teach my dogs not to bark at my neighbor coming and going. Previously owned a different one, the Lentek PD01C Ultra Sonic Dog Off Trainer, and that one WORKED. I got the cheaper one this time, and it was just money down the drain, because I had to buy another Lentek device anyway.
