LOVE Pampers dry max diapers! September 8, 2010 L. Hurley (VA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I haven't used anything else but Pampers since the birth of our first child. I love pampers. I have no complaints so far. I also love the pampers sensitive diapers as well. Since this is our first, I haven't used the pre-drymax pampers to have any comparison.
Pampers Swaddlers Size 1 September 7, 2010 MNND4010 I know there has been a lot of talk about the concern with Pampers Dry Max and having rashes and/or burns. My daughter is 14 weeks and has only been using Swaddlers with no problems. We love them. The only negative is that the wetness indicator is no longer on the new diapers...otherwise it would have received 5 stars.
Dry Max Plus 'inbetween' sizes September 7, 2010 E. Byers (The Midwest) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
If you've watched pampers diapers in the last year or so, you'll know that they released a new type of diaper. The Dry Max. Thinner, more absorbent, and supposedly all around better. Then the backlash started. People claiming their kids were getting diaper rash, chemical burns, and all kinds of things. Needless to say I was slightly scared to use these.
The first day, the baby got diaper rash after wearing these. So I was going to jump in with all the other naysayers. Turns out it could have just been a coincidence. It cleared up, and we've been using them since without issue.
The diapers themselves claim to be more absorbent, and while they may be, they switched the mesh that separates the absorbent filler from the baby, so it's more open. It seems the babies skin would stay in contact more, which could cause more diaper rash, but it's really just an observation, not sure if this is true.
The other nice thing about these diapers is the inbetween sizes. They allow you to more easily transition to a new size. Granted you could tough it out for a week or more, but when you can easily grab a box of these, it makes it even easier.
Bottom line, while this is a change to the standard in diapers, it seems that it's mostly working, and a lot of the negativity, well is just overly concerned parents. There could be some issues, but we really haven't seen any.
Not As Advertised September 7, 2010 Charles M. Nobles (Tulsa, OK United States) I have been waiting to review this product because my son and daughter-in-law were expecting their first baby and I wanted them to try the Pampers product given its usually good reputation. I am proud to say I am now the proud grandfather of an 8 lb. 14 ounce boy that is just a bit over 4 weeks old and growing like the proverbial weed. His name is Liam and he is really pretty neat.
Now, to the review. They have tried the diapers and have been a bit disappointed in that they have a tendency to leak in the front. Unlike some of the other reviewers experience they have had no problem with odor or anything other than the leak problem. They gave some to friends that have a baby older and heavier than Liem and they experienced the same problem. They have tried almost the entire box and not every one leaks but a majority do and they are going to switch to another brand to see if they work. I admit I am not an expert on this particular product but feel confident the new parents are using it correctly. Perhaps it has to do with the shape of the baby or some other details not usually associated with such products but they do not get a good rating from the users. I hope this helps others when considering this product.
Best diapers out there! September 5, 2010 SatisfiedMom 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Pampers are still the best diapers, and these are an excellent deal. You will appreciate fewer blow-outs and no diaper rash. Get these!
