Ravelli Backdrop Stand
The Ravelli Model ABS model background stand is 10' tall by 12.3' wide. It is comprised of two tripod stands and four 3' cross bar sections and includes a heavy duty carry bag. The four cross bar sections allow for the stand to be set up in 6', 9' or full 12' widths. The cross bar interconnects are 6", the longest on the market, providing ample support for heavier backdrops. The tripod stands use air cushioned shocks, instead of spring shocks, allowing the fully extended stands to smoothly and safely collapse to their minimum height. The material on the stand bag is very heavy duty 1680D weight ballistic nylon and the zipper is 8mm white copper metal. The stand also features large ergonomic tension screws, individual elastic straps for each cross bar sections in the bag, and end caps for the crossbar to prevent tearing of your backdrops.
Prism Backdrops
The backdrops are made by Prism and are professional muslin backdrops made from a heavier 100% cotton material. The 10X12' size (actually 9X18.2' after shrinkage) weighs 4.6lbs. Special dyes are used to obtain well saturated colors which appear vibrant and not washed out. All sides are stitched to avoid unravelling and a 3.4" rod pocket is sewn into the top. Each muslin is folded and comes in a plastic bag to avoid moisture and stainage and then packed in a cardboard box for shipping.

Item is good for the cost. One of the stands feet were built wrong at the bottom, so the poles are uneven, it still works, just have to adjust the side poles differently and not have the left foot opened all the way or it is wobbly. The backdrops are fraying at the ends and are quite thin. My biggest issue is all the packing wrinkles that are impossible to remove. Its a good set up for beginners who cannot afford a higher end professional background kit right away, however you may want to wait a little bit to see if price will drop (again)...I paid $136 for mine a month ago and the price is now $115.

Everything is great except two of the plastic pieces on it were broken. I emailed the company and they called within 5 minutes to ask me more about it. I sent them pictures and my name and phone number as they requested, but its been weeks and I haven't heard anything else. I'm getting quite worried about this.
Stand still works and needs weights to hold it down, but you can't pick it up and move it with it being broken

This product does not seem sturdy, Like it could tip over..but for what I use it for...it works great! You need to put it up un front of something with no light coming thru...muslin is always a bit see thru with light...but that can also make for interesting effects. Super easy to put up and carry!

I purchased these to use for a home photography studio with a separate light kit. Overall, this set is a great deal for the size and price. It's easy to set up and fairly sturdy. The muslins are a little thin, but that can be overcome by doubling them up and not placing them in front of a light source. I'd definitely say this was the best package to buy that I could find because the other's were too small for a large group, tall models, or overhead sitting shots. Pretty happy with this set.

This is my first experience with using backgrounds and it was made very easy using this product. I shot portraits for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and setting up the background stand was the easist part of the whole event. The carry bag is compartmentalized for the 2 stands (areas are padded) and the cross bars never rub against each other. Cross bars link together and even with a heavier background never sagged. The only thing I would do is make sure you have sand bags on the stands with a heavier background and have someone there to help when you are sliding the background on the crossbar and lifting into position.
