the kindle makes reading convenient and enviromentally friendly July 29, 2010 tammy I've been using my Kindle for two years, and love the ease of ordering books, convenience and ability to manually read or having the book read to me(something i do on my way to work and school. I recently bought one for my sister for her birthday and she said it was the best birthday gift she ever received. Not only does the Kindle cut down on paper consumption, but it also reduces clutter while saving money.
English as a second language July 29, 2010 Hideki Makishima I am a Japanese. English is my second language. It is very useful for people like me who are serious about learning English. So I would like to recommend it to other non-native English speaker this product if they are interested in it. The display is very comfortable to your eyes. Your eyes don't get as tired as times when you look at your computer screens.
READING WITH EASE July 29, 2010 TInkerbell24 LOVE THIS ......LOVE THIS....MY DAUGHTER BORROWED MY KINDLE AND SHE COULD NOT BELIEVE HOW MUCH SHE ENJOYED IT.
Still learning July 29, 2010 M. Arquette (Point Place, Ohio USA) I'm still learning how to use my Kindle but I really like how convenient it is to take it with me. The print is very easy on the eyes also. I am very happy I bought it, but even happier that I waited until the price dropped.
It's not a book! July 29, 2010 Jamie Carey 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The kindle is fine, it's features make it more than fine, but it's still not a book. You can't borrow it, nor can you lend it out. Also, you can't browse the shelves at your local used book store for an inviting cover and then purchase a $.99 book. I didn't realize that I would miss actual paper as much as I do. Another thing is that I can't throw it in my purse: it's an expensive and delicate piece of machinery; therefore, I am forced to purchase a protective cover. Most of all, though, I am EXTREMELY disappointed that Amazon does not offer a price-match warranty. I bought my Kindle for $260, and a week later the price was reduced to $180. Frustrating!
