 Good basic speakers, but short & strange wiring March 9, 2010

These are inexpensive speakers - so don't expect symphony hall sound out of them. They are basic speakers, and for that purpose, they do quite well.
The oddities - the wires are too short. They barely reach from next to my monitor down to my "desktop" computer, which is actually on a CPU shelf near floor level. The real strange thing, though, is the wiring configuration: one wire goes from the AC plug to one speaker; the next wire goes from that speaker to the control speaker; the last wire goes from the control speaker to the CPU. That's right - each speaker has a wire to an external connection, as well as a wire between the two speakers. Strange.
And, as noted - the instructions refer to both pink and green connectors; but there is actually only a green one (in addition to the power cord).
Other than that, they are fine, and about what you'd expect.

I had these speakers for awhile now and compared to the more expensive ones this speaker holds it's own. The sound is great along with the price. They are not unattractive and you can find the room to place them anywhere.

If you're just looking for some regular, run of the mill, inexpensive speakers for your desktop THESE ARE IT! Great price, nice low-end speakers that get the job done.

They were cheap, but the sound quality is not very good. I wish I had spend an additional $10 and gotten a better model.
